To these you can add one of 15 different essential oils, including Dragonsblood, Bergamot, Lavender, Cedarwood, and NightBlooming’s Signature Blend, Eventide!
Directions
Dissolve 1/4 tsp of Alluvial into 1L/4 c of water. For heavy buildup: In the shower, place a large bowl on the floor and kneel over it. Pour the rinse through your hair, catching it in the bowl. Transfer the rinse to a cup, and repeat until your hair is saturated. Leave in up to 15 minutes. Rinse with water.
- Maintenance:Â Use Alluvial as a final rinse after washing.
- Warning:Â Do not make more potent than directed. Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse eyes thoroughly with water.

Wow. I got the sample size because I wasn’t sure how much my hair needed chelating, but the shine I got after a deep treatment with this is wild! My hair feels way softer, and seems significantly less tangly than it usually is after a wash.

This actually works quite well! I live on pretty hard well water. When I was still using regular shampoo and conditioner, it wasn’t a huge deal, but now that I’ve switched to natural haircare it really makes my hair feel dry and look dull–esp with shampoo bars! This rinse helps to offset that. My water is hard enough that I use it as a rinse every time I shower, and it helps improve softness and shine.

I think I’ve left an Etsy review on citric acid before but I’ll leave one again here because it’s night and day difference (even my husband uses it). If your water is hard, no brand of shampoo or conditioner will leave your hair feeling clean and light. I shampoo, rinse, rinse with this mixture, then condition. It removes any crunchy or knotted feeling in the hair and after blow drying, my hair is very fluffy. Works for beards too!

I didn’t realize how much I needed this. I live in a hard water region. I know it contributes to tangles even when I use standard shampoo and conditioner. But vinegar rinses never seemed to help much with the scalp itching, dullness, or tangles. I didn’t know what to expect but this was amazing. So shiny and far fewer tangles after one deep treatment and use as a rinse after my most recent wash. The jar with a cork is adorable and I love the little spoon too. This is such a cute and useful product.

This rinse has saved my hair! I am growing my long hair since 2009. Some years ago I saw on a picture that my hair does not look good or shiny at all and I was a little shocked about the condition. I always used to rinse my hair with apple vinegar before, but since I changed to the Alluvial Rinse, my hair is looking a lot healthier and I love it. It is also very econimical because you do not need much of it with every hair wash. I love this product.

I have been struggling with dandruff for almost 7 months in different intensities. I’ve had my eye on Alluvial rinse for a while and finally I was able to get it. I saw a difference after the first rinse, I couldn’t believe it! I like the simplicity of using these crystals. Dump a scoop into my hair rinse bottle, fill with water while in the shower, and pour over my head. I let it sit in my hair while I finish showering and then rinse it out at the end. Works well and my husband appreciates the lack of ACV odor.

I have purchased this rinse before- because it works! And actually it lasts a VERY long time. My water is hard and if I am not using a really good shampoo, my hair has more ‘gunk’ in it after washing than before! But if I use the rinse after the shampoo, no gunk! I ordered a sample of this and liked it so much I purchased the glass bottle. It is a good size, and so cute with a cork top and tiny wooden spoon to measure. It works great, I mix it with distilled warm water and a few drops of the Eventide hair oil then pour it over after shampoo/condition and rinsing. It clarifies my hair and removes excess residue. I follow with another cup of warm distilled water with few drops more of the Eventide hair oil and my hair is so soft and much less frizzy.
